Programme Implementation Plan (PIP)

PIP-3.png

The PIP serves as either:

1

2

A Programme Implementation Plan for companies without a formal workplace substance management programme.

A Programme Improvement Plan for those with an existing commitment that TOX247 has assessed as not fit for purpose.

Both require a structured approach using the 3Rs—Risk Assessment, Risk Management, and Risk Mitigation—which TOX247 applies to every WSMP module. The process may also involve activating an amnesty period, expanding sample mediums, updating T&Cs, staff training and accreditation, union consultations, and awareness campaigns to ensure a comprehensive and legally sound programme.

Which integrates into a company’s Corporate Governance (CG). CG refers to the system of Policies, Processes, Practices, and Procedures (4Ps) through which a company is directed, controlled, and compliant with civil and criminal laws, while balancing the interests of stakeholders like shareholders, management, customers, and the community.

In this context, the PIP represents the Policies, Processes, Practices, and Procedures that guide the development, communication, and application of the programme. The implementation of the PIP includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Identifying key personnel to develop and manage the PIP with the support of TOX247.

  2. Communicating the PIP to employees through various channels like briefings and campaigns.

  3. Creating and activating the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

  4. Starting the amnesty period, ensuring the EAP is operational.

  5. Initiating the Programme of Testing & Analysis, beginning with new employees or post-amnesty for existing employees.

  6. Finalising the Substance & Alcohol Management Policy (SAMP).

  7. Formalising the TOX247 Programme of Testing & Analysis (PoTA).

  8. Training Sample Collection Practitioners (SCPs) and Programme Managing Practitioners (PMPs).

  9. Stocking sample collection mediums, evidence documentation, and related supplies.

  10. Providing bespoke Sample Collection Consent Forms (SCCFs), ensuring consent is obtained for each sample collected.

The PIP marks the beginning of the TOX247 Workplace Substance Management Programme (WSMP)...
